Accreditations

Kendal Nutricare exports to global markets under the following accreditation:

British Retail Consortium (BRC) Food Safety Standard – Grade AA
- AA is highest score achievable for an unannounced Food Safety audit.
  - This audit shows we can manage our products safety, integrity, legality and quality, and the operational controls for these criteria in the food and food ingredient manufacturing, processing and packing industry.
Halal Certification – Since July 2017
- We have registered recipes and have been audited and meet the Halal standard for producing and controlling Halal foods.
Kosher Approval – Since July 2016
- We have approved recipes and an agreed process, this is also supported by a Rabbi on site when producing.
The factory is inspected yearly under the European regulation 853/2004.
- As a food business we are required to allow the Environmental Health Officer onsite. They come a minimum of yearly to carry out a visit.
The current approval for our factory number UK KL 020 EC was in June 2015.
- This is our dairy mark required on all milk processing sites and shows we are registered to manufacture.
