Total Salary £27,825 per annum:
- Basic Salary £23,440 per annum
- Shift Premium £4,385 per annum

The role:
We are looking for a Dairy Operative, this is a great opportunity for an individual to build on experience and develop themselves in a new area. You will be expected to gain full competence with the primary process which includes pasteurisation, silo preparation and maintaining cleanliness of these areas. We are looking for a good communicator and flexibility with the willingness to work shifts.
This is a full time role based at our headquarters in Kendal.
You will be required to work a rotating 3 week shift pattern, including some night shifts.
- Earlies: 06:00-13:30 Monday to Friday
- Nights: 21:00-06:30 Monday, Tuesday and 21:00-06:15 Wednesday, Thursday
- Lates: 13:15-21:15 Monday to Thursday and 13:15-18:45 Friday.
Bank Holiday working may be required in this role.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the delivery of the daily production plan by actively working with other operators, engineering and your team leader.
- Monitoring product safety and quality and maintaining production paperwork.
- Supporting maintenance of equipment and plant in good working order, including carrying out routine basic maintenance
- Complying with safety procedures including but not limited to: adopting safe working practices, wearing the required protective clothing and use of safety equipment appropriate to the role
- Any other tasks in the Primary Department where require

- Take ownership and be responsible for Product Legality, Quality and Authenticity
What you’ll need:
- Fork lift Truck licence or willing to work towards this.
- Previous experience and working knowledge of the food industry and machinery is preferable but not essential as on the job training will be provided.
- Willingness to learn.
- Must be physically fit, this is an active role which sometimes requires heavy lifting.
- Once trained, the post holder will work unsupervised to strict procedural guidelines.
