The role:
We are looking to employ a Planning Coordinator in a technical role as an integral part of our Planning Team.
The main duties are to ensure that the appropriate schedules are issued to meet the production plan, and to ensure that all materials issued to production have been cleared by QA and are within their allocated shelf life. Making sure that products are issued in strict rotation, by controlling the incoming deliveries schedule. You will support the Factory Planner in this technical role to ensure that the strategic aims of the company are met.
This is a full time role based at our headquarters in Kendal. Monday – Friday, 8:00-16:00. What you’ll be doing in:
∙ From the packing plan – calculate, produce and issue schedules to production ∙ Maintain a system for the control of all documentation used in the department ∙ Monitor incoming deliveries and contact suppliers for updates
∙ Liaising with suppliers to agree delivery schedules and for return of substandard material ∙ Minimise write-off by constantly monitoring stocks of materials via expiry reports ∙ Coordinate annual stock-take
∙ Liaise with production departments to maintain stock accuracy
∙ Raising purchase orders
What you’ll need:
∙ Excellent communication skills, in person, over the telephone and by email ∙ Experience in administration
∙ Good Mathematical skills – GSCEs in Maths and English at minimum
∙ Excellent attention to detail, a key aspect in this technical role
∙ Extensive IT skills is essential
∙ Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
∙ Knowledge of CSB is desirable but not essential as training will be given ∙ Knowledge of production planning
∙ Capable of working to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
