The Role
We are looking to recruit a Factory Planner to work on a full time basis at our Headquaters in Kendal. The successful candidate will be responsible for the formulation of daily production plans, process customer orders, and re-forecast as required as well as constantly monitor the progress of the factory to ensure that we achieve 100% service level.
Responsibilities
- The formulation of a production plan that maximize factory efficiency and productivity and still delivering factory constraints and service levels
- The control of finished goods stock levels so as to minimise disposals
- To constantly monitor the progress of the factory to ensure that service levels to the warehouse are met
- The formulation of accurate raw material figures for procurement
- To process all customer orders in a timely manner
- To be able to re-forecast customer provisional orders based on current orders
- To act as a pivot point between all departments for the purpose of effective communication
- To attain best practice planning methods
- To be able to communicate effectively with our customers
Experience
- Educated to A-level or equivalent
- Previous planning experience would be advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate – Excel and planning systems
- Highly Analytical and able to work under pressure and on own initiative
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of production planning, material supply and NPD processes
- Knowledge of planning processes including creating plans and scheduling
