The role:

We are looking for Ecommerce Operatives to work twilight shifts. This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly Ecommerce Team. You will be trust-worthy and capable of working in a fast-paced environment, where computer skills are essential. To succeed in this role you will be diligent and open to learning new skills, with a flexible approach to work and a proactive attitude.

Experience in a similar role would be desirable, however on-the-job training will be provided. The ideal candidates will be available to work in the evenings, feel comfortable wearing PPE and be able to lift boxes up to 20kg.

These are part-time roles based at our factory headquarters in Kendal. The hours can be flexible and are available between 16:00 – 21:00, Monday – Thursday, 12 to 16 hours per week.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Printing orders using Shopify and DPD portals, and using other internal ERP software programmes to plan, order and replenish stock daily.
  • Stocktaking and ordering stocks from the on-site Warehouse, dealing with outside companies and couriers.
  • Speed and accuracy when receiving, picking, packing, and sorting products or parcels.
  • Dealing with queries from Customer Service and processing returns.
  • Complying with safety procedures including but not limited to: adopting safe working practices, wearing the required protective clothing and use of safety equipment appropriate to the role.

What you’ll need:

  • Being computer literate is essential;
  • Previous experience with hand held scanning devices and DPD portals is an advantage
  • Be self-motivated and capable of working with minimum supervision, working to tight deadlines. It’s crucial that you are accurate with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
  • You will need to be able to stand and walk for the majority of your shift.
  • You will need to be able to lift (products up to 20kg), bend, twist, kneel and crouch.
  • To be able to follow safety, quality and production protocols. Your safety comes first.
  • Be a team player, with good communication skills, building relationships with other areas of the Factory.
